Changing the language in Customer Portal

Customer Portal's Language setting supports making customizations in English, French, Dutch, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Japanese, and Chinese (Taiwan). Based on your customer's default browser language, Customer Portal will be translated into one of these supported languages. This article will show you how to access the Language setting and make any necessary language customization to Customer Portal.

Currently, only English, French, Dutch, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Japanese, and Chinese (Taiwan) are supported. But more languages are on the way!

Access Languages settings

  1. Go to Apps > Cleverific Order Editor.
  2. Click Languages.

  1. You'll arrive on the Languages setting page, which gives you access to the current languages available for Customer Portal: English, Portuguese, Dutch, Spanish, German, French, Czech, Japanese, and Chinese (Taiwan).

Note: English is Customer Portal's default language. Customer Portal will default to English if your customers' default browser language is not currently supported.

Customize languages

In your Languages setting, you can customize each language to connect your business with your customers better.

For example, you can change the wording on the order status page.

Steps

  1. Go to Apps > Cleverific Order Editor.
  2. Click Languages.

  1. Click the language you want to customize.

  1. Navigate to the section you'd like to edit. (For example, OrderStatusPage changeOrder corresponds to the "Change Order" title seen on your order status page)

  1. Click the text field and type what you'd like to change the wording to.


  1. Your language edits will be automatically saved and you can preview your changes right away on the order status page and in Customer Portal.
